Hi, Stamper. Welcome to another Creative Creases Challenge (and my Accordion Window Flap Card). This challenge is all about celebrating the art of fun fold cards, and I’m so excited to be part of this talented community. Each challenge is an invitation to stretch your creativity and craft a unique card to share with us. Whether you’re an experienced paper crafter or just starting out with fun folds, we can’t wait to see what you make. Let’s spark some creativity and inspire one another!
My Accordion Window Flap card begins with a Cherry Cobbler card base, featuring a die-cut window on the front using the Countryside Corners Dies. To frame the opening, I layered a label die-cut from Early Espresso cardstock with a slightly smaller piece of Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper. For the decorative tree element, I used the Decorative Trees Dies to cut a solid tree from Old Olive cardstock and added a detailed overlay in Cherry Cobbler cardstock for a festive touch.
Inside the card, a piece of Basic White cardstock is strategically folded to support the focal point featured on the front. When the card is opened, the focal point pivots through the window, creating a dynamic and engaging effect. To decorate, the stars at the top are stamped in Wild Wheat ink, the trees along the bottom are stamped in Garden Green ink, and the sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, all using the Decorative Trees stamp set.
If you’d like to create your own version of my Accordion Window Flap Christmas Card, you can follow along with the video below. I also encourage you to try making any fun fold card and share it with us in the Creative Creases Challenge. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
