Hello, Stampers! Welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop, a monthly event where talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world come together to inspire you with creative card-making ideas. Held on the fourth Sunday of each month, this blog hop is your go-to source for fresh handmade card designs and paper crafting inspiration. Today, I’m excited to share two simple strip cards, designed as part of my new Stamping Made Simple series on YouTube—perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike! Keep reading to learn how to create these beautiful yet easy-to-make cards using Stampin’ Up! products.

Creating these handmade cards was so easy that I demonstrated two of them during my YouTube Live crafting session! While I specialize in fun fold card designs, my Stamping Made Simple series on YouTube is perfect for beginner stampers, offering step-by-step guidance to help build confidence in cardmaking. Even though this series is beginner-friendly, experienced stampers can still find creative inspiration and helpful stamping tips. These cards are made without using dies, making them ideal for stampers who haven’t yet invested in a die-cutting machine but still want to create stunning, professional-looking handmade cards.

The first of my two simple strip cards is a Triple Strip Card. This card starts with a sturdy Thick Basic White cardstock base, creating a strong foundation for this beautiful handmade card. The first layer features a 4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP), adding a soft and elegant background. To create the triple strip effect, I cut a 3″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Perennial Lavender DSP into three 1″ strips, then adhered them to a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ Basic White cardstock layer for a clean, structured look. For added texture, I wrapped white Baker’s Twine around the layer twice and tied a delicate bow on the right side before securing the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a raised effect.
The sentiment, from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, stamped in Highland Heather ink on Basic White cardstock, was punched out using the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and layered onto a 2″ Highland Heather cardstock circle for contrast. This focal point was adhered to the card front, creating a polished design. To finish, I added a few Brass Butterflies embellishments, giving the card a touch of shimmer and elegance.

Inside my handmade greeting card, I added a crisp Basic White layer to create a clean writing space. To enhance the design, I included a 1/2″ x 5″ strip of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP), bringing in a touch of floral elegance. This layer is matted with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Highland Heather cardstock, adding a beautiful pop of color that coordinates perfectly with the overall card design.

The second of my two Simple Strip Cards is a Quadruple Strip Card, featuring a sleek black-and-white card design with a touch of elegance. Unlike my first strip card, which is in portrait orientation, this one is landscape style. I started with a sturdy Thick Basic White card base for durability. The card front is a 4″ x 3″ layer of Mixed Media Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP), carefully cut into 1″ strips and mounted on a 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ layer of Basic Black cardstock to create contrast. A White 1/2″ Woven Ribbon is wrapped around this panel and secured on the back using Mini Glue Dots for a seamless finish.
For the sentiment, I used the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, stamping in Memento Black ink onto a piece of 2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, which is then matted with a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock for a polished look. To complete this handmade card, I added a few Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, bringing a touch of sophistication and shimmer to this elegant black-and-white card.

For the inside of this handmade card, I incorporated a technique inspired by my scrapbooking days—adding decorative triangular corner accents to a 5″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White cardstock layer. To create these eye-catching details, I used a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ square of Basic Black cardstock and a 2″ x 2″ piece of the Mixed Media Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP). Each square was cut diagonally, layered together, and adhered to the upper right and lower left corners for a balanced, elegant look. This panel was then matted with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ Basic Black cardstock layer before securing it inside the card.
