Hi, fellow stampers! Welcome to the Stampin’ Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop, where a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators share their passion for creative cardmaking with unique fun fold card designs. This month, I’m excited to showcase a barn door fun fold card featuring the adorable Cutest Cows Bundle. This handmade card idea is both simple and charming—perfect for adding a bit of farmyard fun to your papercrafting projects!

My Barn Door Birthday Card starts with a Cherry Cobbler cardstock base, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″. To create the barn door effect, I trimmed off the bottom half of the card front, resulting in a 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ panel. The remaining top half of the card front was dry embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, adding a rich woodgrain texture.
To enhance the barn door design, I used 1/4″ strips of Basic White cardstock with Adhesive Sheet backing to form an “X” on the trimmed panel. After assembling the strips, I embossed the piece with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder for added dimension. Using a sponge dauber, I applied Cherry Cobbler ink to the edges for a distressed look. This panel was then layered onto a 3″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, followed by a 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ Basic Black cardstock layer, creating a bold contrast. The assembled barn door section was then adhered to the top half of the remaining card front.
For the focal point, I stamped an adorable cow image from the Cutest Cows stamp set in Basic Black ink onto Basic White cardstock scraps. Using the Cow Builder Punch, I punched out the cow and added color using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker and a Light Stampin’ Blends Marker. To bring the design to life, I attached the cow’s body with Stampin’ Seal adhesive and used an Action Wobble Spring for the head, giving it a fun, interactive element.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. To create a speech bubble effect, I punched it out using the Bee Builder Punch (utilizing the bee body shape). This was then adhered just above the cow for a playful finishing touch.

Inside this fun fold card, you’ll find a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White cardstock, accented with a 4″ x 1-1/2″ strip of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP), designed to resemble grass. The sentiment, from the Cutest Cows stamp set, is stamped in Memento Black ink near the top, leaving ample space to add your personal message.
