Whether you’re just getting started with card making or you’re an experienced stamper looking for a fast and simple card design, these quick & easy autumn cards are perfect for you. Designed with both beginners and seasoned crafters in mind, these simple fall-themed cards make it easy to create a bunch in no time—ideal for sending warm wishes all season long!
Creating a beautiful handmade fall card doesn’t get much easier than this! I began with a Mossy Meadow card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ for a standard top-fold layout. To add a fun twist, I trimmed 1-1/4″ from the bottom edge of the card front. For a touch of seasonal charm, I adhered a 4″ x 4″ panel of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper to the front.
Inside the card, I added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. To coordinate with the front, I adhered a 4″ x 1/2″ strip of leftover Designer Series Paper along the top edge. I then stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink near the bottom, making sure it would show when the card is closed.
For my second card, I stuck with the same Mossy Meadow cardstock base—cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″—but added a little twist by creating an angled front edge instead of a straight one. I marked the left side of the card front 1″ up from the bottom and the right side at 2-1/4″, then used my paper trimmer to cut a diagonal line between those two points. To match, I chose a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper and trimmed it at the same angle. I attached the top portion to the front of the card and used the bottom section to decorate the inside.
With the card front closed, I stamped the sentiment, following the angle, using the Something Fancy stamp set and Mossy Meadow ink.
