Hi, Stamper. Welcome to Creative Creases Challenge #102, where we celebrate the art of fun fold cards. Our talented design team is excited to share a variety of creative and interactive cardmaking ideas to inspire you. For this week’s challenge, I’m showcasing a Swinging Pendulum Card featuring the stunning Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper. If you love unique card folds and paper crafting, we invite you to join the challenge and share your own fun fold creation with us!

My Swinging Pendulum fun fold card features a Gray Granite card base and showcases the stunning Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!—both inside and out. This A-frame style card includes a die-cut circle window on the front, offering a peek at the charming bird that gently swings on a pendulum inside. The window is created using the Stylish Shapes Dies, and I used the same circle die along with one size larger to craft a coordinating ring from Gray Granite cardstock, beautifully framing the opening.
For the sentiment, I chose a greeting from the Winterly Treetops stamp set, stamped in Gray Granite ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I fussy cut the sentiment using Paper Snips, then added a touch of texture by wrapping Linen Thread behind it. Finally, I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed it just below the window for the perfect finishing touch.

To finish off the handmade swinging pendulum card, I adhered a blank piece of Basic White cardstock to the back of the card base. This provides ample space to write your personal message or heartfelt note. For a decorative touch, I added a coordinating strip of the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP), tying the design together beautifully. Keep reading for the full step-by-step tutorial and learn how to make your own swinging pendulum card using Stampin’ Up! products!

Lisa, I didn’t realize the bird was on a pendulum at first! How fun that he swings back and forth inside the card! Love this design and the DSP you used! Hope your craft fair goes great!
What a cool fun fold, Lisa! It’s so creative! I’ve seen birds hanging on to branches on a windy day and you captured that. Hope you are feeling better so you can enjoy your weekend!
Such a pretty card!
