Hi, Stamper! Welcome to the Stampin’ Up!® Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop. We are a group of demonstrators who love sharing creative fun fold card ideas to inspire you to get out your paper, stamps, and ink to create something amazing. For this hop, I’m excited to showcase a Winged Gatefold Card featuring the Weekend Adventures Designer Series Paper (DSP). Be sure to follow the links at the end of this post so you can “hop” along and see all the other fabulous fun fold projects!

My Winged Gatefold Card starts with an Early Espresso card base accented with the masculine fall patterns from the Weekend Adventures DSP. For the focal point, I created a belly band using Early Espresso and Very Vanilla cardstock along with the Textured Notes Dies. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive ink with the Spotlight on Nature stamp set, and the sentiment comes from the Unbounded Love stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I love how versatile this layout is—you could easily swap in different stamp sets and sentiments to customize your design for any occasion.

I chose the Weekend Adventures DSP not only because the colors are perfect for fall, but also because it reminds me of the season. My husband and I just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with some “weekend adventures” of our own! We visited Yellowstone National Park, explored Bear World, and enjoyed the gorgeous fall scenery, so this paper felt like the perfect fit for my project.
From the outside, this card looks like a classic gatefold card with a belly band, but once you slide the band off and open it up, the surprise is revealed—pop-out wing panels! It’s such a fun interactive fold, and the Very Vanilla cardstock center panel gives you plenty of room to add a personal handwritten message to the recipient. Cards like this not only look impressive but also bring an extra “wow” factor to any celebration.

Here’s another look at this Winged Gatefold Card from a different angle. If you’d like to learn exactly how I made this fun fold card, be sure to watch the step-by-step YouTube video tutorial I’ve included below. You can follow along and make your own using the same Stampin’ Up! supplies I used—or swap in your own favorites for a unique look.
