Hi, Stamper. Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month’s theme is all about Acts of Kindness, Gratitude, and Thanksgiving! The Pals are here to inspire you with heartfelt card ideas and creative paper crafts made with Stampin’ Up! products. For this blog hop, I have created a beautiful Side Accordion Fold Card. Be sure to visit each participant’s blog — you’ll find the full list at the end of this post so you can easily hop along and enjoy all the inspiration!

As cardmakers, I think we naturally love doing Random Acts of Kindness. Sometimes it’s a little 3D gift, and sometimes it’s a simple handmade card that says, “I’m thinking of you.” That’s exactly what my Side Accordion Fold Card is—a thinking of you card that also stands up beautifully for display, making it feel like a small 3D gift all on its own.

This Side Accordion Fold Card starts with a Cajun Craze card base and a mat layer of Early Espresso cardstock. I added the gorgeous Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper for a rich fall look, full of warmth and texture. The accordion-style fold gives the card extra dimension, making it perfect to display on a desk or mantel throughout the season.

The sentiment on the front is stamped in Cajun Craze ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then die cut using the Traditional Labels Dies. To make it stand out, I layered it on top of a second, slightly larger label cut from Early Espresso cardstock. The inside of the card repeats this design with another set of labels and a coordinating sentiment. I also added a Very Vanilla panel accented with a narrow strip of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper—a perfect spot to write a personal message to the recipient.

I’ve created a step-by-step YouTube video tutorial showing you exactly how to make this Side Accordion Fold Card from start to finish. It’s a fun and surprisingly easy fun fold card you’ll want to make again and again with different Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers and color combinations. Be sure to watch the video before continuing on our Pals Blog Hop for even more creative inspiration from fellow demonstrators!
