Hi, Stamper. Welcome to Creative Creases Challenge #111, where this month’s focus is all about fun fold cards. Fun folds are one of my favorite ways to turn a simple handmade card into something extra special, and today I’m sharing my Double Decker card design. The start of a new year is the perfect time to build up your card stash, and this fun fold works beautifully with a wide variety of Stampin’ Up! stamps, inks, and designer paper.

For this Double Decker fun fold card, I began with a Berry Burst card base and layered it with the beautiful Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. To create the signature “double decker” look, I added a smaller Berry Burst cardstock layer, followed by Basic White cardstock on both the front and inside of the card. This layered design adds interest without making the card bulky, making it easy to mail. The “thanks” sentiment on the front was stamped in Bubble Bath ink in the lower right corner of the Basic White layer for a soft, elegant finish.

The focal point on the front of the card features two flowers die cut with the Floral Impressions Dies. I used Garden Green, Berry Burst, and Bubble Bath cardstock, along with adhesive sheets on the back of the cardstock for quick and easy assembly. This little step saves time and keeps everything neat and secure.

When you open the Double Decker card, you’ll see the inside panel is slightly popped up, which adds a fun surprise element. I stamped the inside sentiment in Bubble Bath ink and added a coordinating flower stamped in Berry Burst ink with a Bubble Bath center. Along the left side of the Basic White layer, I added a 1/2″ strip of Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper, which is a great way to use up those smaller DSP scraps we all seem to collect.
