Hi, Stamper. Welcome to our Creative Creases Challenge #113, This challenge is all about fun fold cards, and the design team loves sharing inspiration with you. Even better, we invite you to share your own handmade cards with us in the challenge gallery.
Today I’m featuring a Z Fold Pop Up Card created with the Stampin’ Up! Easter Basket Bundle. This interactive Easter card is a beautiful fun fold design that looks impressive but is actually quite simple to create. I originally demonstrated this card during a YouTube LIVE tutorial, and it quickly became a viewer favorite. Because it was so popular, I also included it as one of the featured designs in my online fun fold card class this month (details below).

This handmade Easter card begins with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base. A strip of Shy Shamrock cardstock forms the Z Fold mechanism, which allows the card to stand up and display the pop-up scene beautifully. Inside the fold, I added cross members made from Shy Shamrock cardstock to create a sturdy base for the dimensional pop-up elements.
To decorate the card, I used the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper. The soft pastel colors and seasonal patterns make it perfect for creating cheerful Easter cards and spring-themed projects.

The pop-up images were stamped using Smoky Slate ink instead of traditional black ink. I love using Smoky Slate for projects with pastel color palettes because it creates a softer, more subtle look.
After stamping the images, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and then cut them out with the coordinating Easter Basket Dies. The dies also include a grass shape, which I cut from Shy Shamrock cardstock. Each grass piece was attached to the cross members before adhering the stamped images with Mini Glue Dots, creating a fun dimensional scene when the card opens.
For the greeting, I used a simple technique to change the layout of the stamp. Even though the sentiment stamp was designed to be stamped side-by-side, I inked one word at a time using Pretty In Pink ink so I could stamp the words in a stacked layout.
The sentiment was stamped on a Basic White label cut with the Everyday Essentials Dies. I then layered it on a slightly larger Pretty In Pink die cut from the same set to create a polished focal point.

On the back of the Z Fold Pop Up Card, I added a layer of Basic White cardstock so there’s plenty of space to write a personal message.
While working on this project, I noticed a leftover triangle of designer paper from another card. Rather than waste it, I trimmed it slightly and added it to the upper corner of the back panel. The small strip I trimmed off was the perfect size to place in the lower corner, making it a great way to use up a scrap while adding a decorative accent.
Below you’ll find the video tutorial showing exactly how to create this Z Fold Pop Up Card. I walk through the measurements, scoring, stamping, and assembly so you can easily recreate this design at home.
