I’m so glad you are joining us as we share a variety of creative fun fold card ideas designed to inspire your next crafting project. For today’s hop, I’m featuring a Burst Out Fun Fold Card that folds flat to fit inside a standard envelope, yet opens into an impressive interactive design. Whether you are new to fun folds or already love creating interactive cards, you’ll find plenty of beautiful inspiration along the way. I’m excited to share a new-to-me design called the Burst Out Fun Fold Card. It has a similar feel to a shutter card, using careful cutting and scoring on the card base to create the interactive effect. I started with a Pretty in Peacock cardstock base and added the beautiful Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper. Although this paper was designed to coordinate with the Lily of the Valley Bundle, it also worked beautifully as a soft background for the Lovely Arrangements Bundle stamped in Pretty in Peacock ink.

One of my favorite things about this burst out fun fold card design is that it folds flat into a standard A2 size envelope while still opening into a card with an impressive display. For my version, I kept the decorating mainly to the front and added a Basic White panel on the back so I would have a place to write a personal message, although you could easily decorate both sides if desired. If you would like to try creating this fun fold yourself, I’ve included a step-by-step video tutorial to guide you through the process. This burst out fun fold card design will also be featured in my upcoming Fun Fold Tutorial Book Volume 5.
