Hi Stampers. Today’s card is a corner angle pop-up card, at least that’s the best name I can find for it. LOL  I made this Valentine’s Day card for a facebook live a few weeks ago. It features the Forever & Always Specialty Designer Series Paper – isn’t it gorgeous!?!?

Before making my card I watched several other demos feature this cool new corner angle pop up card. Some called it a V fold card, some a corner pop up and some an angle card…. whatever it is called, it’s a fun fold to do!

To create the corner fold, I created a template by using a 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of CS and cutting diagonally and gluing the two together, so it was thicker and sturdier so I can use it over and over again.

Using this template, I was able to mark where I wanted to make the score on the cardbase with a pencil and then scored it using my trimmer. For the outside, I used a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White CS and a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of the Forever and Always Specialty DSP.  I used the same template to cut off the same corner of the layers that I scored in on the cardbase and adhered them to the card front.

For the inside, I used a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White CS and a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Forever and Always Specialty DSP.  I used the same template to cut off the corner of the layer into the pop up of the cardbase and adhered inside the card. The corner pieces I used were the same ones I cut off, but with an extra 1/4″ trimmed off the longest side of the triangle.

Using the Forever & Always stamp set and blushing bride ink, I added the sentiment to the inside.  Last thing was the punch the scallop heart out of the foil and the straight heart out of the DSP using the Heart Punch Pack and then adhere them.  I placed two on the outside and added a bow and one heart pops up on the inside.

This process is all better explained using the video turtorial below.
