Hi Stampers. Happy March!  Can you believe it?!? The year is flying buy and it’s soon going to be Sweet Ice Cream weather! I’m combined my impatience for the cold weather to go away and my love of this new fold I recently discovered to make this awesome card!  You can see my Forever & Always version of this fold HERE and my other Ice Cream Corner version HERE.

To create the corner fold, I created a template by using a 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of CS and cutting diagonally and gluing the two together, so it was thicker and sturdier so I can use it over and over again.  Using this template, I was able to mark where I wanted to make the score on the cardbase with a pencil and then scored it using my trimmer. For the outside, I used a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White CS and a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of the Ice Cream Corner DSP. I used the same template to cut off the same corner of the layers that I scored in on the cardbase and adhered them to the card front.

I almost used the Ice Cream Builder Punch to make ice cream cones for the corner, but they didn’t look right.  The paper is ice cream “bars” not “cones”.  It was pointed out to me by a friend during our Coffee & Cards Zoom meeting (held each Thrusday at 11am MT – and YOU ARE INVITED to join us!), that the Jar Punch is almost the right shape.  Using paper snips, I rounded off the top of the jar (or you can use a circle punch) and then made popsicle sticks for the bottom (using the stamp and Crumb Cake CS/ink) and BOOM – Ice Cream bar!

Inside the card is decorated in much the same way, by using a 5-1/4″ x 4″ layer of DSP (on the top) and Basic White (on the bottom). I used the template from above to cut off the corner to get the larger piece. Next, cut 1/4″ off the long side of the triangle for the piece that will fit onto the top up. Using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, I stamped the confetti in Granny Apple Green ink and the sentiments in Pool Party ink. The final touch was adding the ice cream cone to the pop up corner.  This was made using the Ice Cream Corner DSP and the Ice Cream Builder Punch.
