Hi Stampers. I’ve been preparing a class by mail using the Handsomely Suited bundle. I was having so much fun playing around I kept going and came up with several cards to share here on my blog. (The cards for the class are exclusive to the class).
This card was very simple to make. It started with a Thick Basic White card base and then I built the Ivory Dinner Jacket on the card front using the Suit & Tie Dies. The shirt had to be built first, by adding the center piece and adding the buttons and the collar.
The jacket is made out of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla. Using the dies, I die cut the V into that layer and then cut the lapel out of Very Vanilla CS as well. Next, the pocket square was glued to the pocket and then to the suit – before the lapel. The lapel is glued at the bottom and attached with mini stampin’ dimensionals at the top. Basic Black was used for the bow tie and dinner jacket buttons.
Inside the card is another 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla with a 1/2″ strip off Cherry Cobbler across the bottom. After attaching it, I thought it looked a bit like a cummerbund. The sentiment is from the Handsomely Suited stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink. Wouldn’t this make a great card for a best man at a wedding?

Very elegant card, Lisa! I love it! I don’t have this set but I think it’s really impressive with all the details.
