Hi Stampers. Who’s ready for a bright and cheery sunflower card?  Today  we Celebrate Sunflowers with an easy fun fold card. I did a very similar card last week.  You can see that by clicking HERE.

This card starts with a Garden Green cardbase, 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 4-1/4″.  Next, I cut off half of the card front (at 2-3/4″) and turned it 90 degrees. The two card front pieces were covered in Flowers for Every Season DSP (it matches the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set beautifully) and attached it with Stampin’ Seal. Adhesive was added to the left side of the piece of the front that was rotated and it was adhered to the card base.

Next, I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to die cut a scalloped rectangle, out of Basic White CS, for the focal point.  In the lower right corner of the rectangle, I stamped the sentiment (from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set) in Bumblebee ink. I also stamped the sunflower onto Basic White CS in Bumblebee ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends. The sunflower was die cut using the Sunflower dies, and attached to the upper left corner of the rectangle.  Then the rectangle was attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS with a coordinating 1/2″ strip of DSP adhered on the left side with Stampin’ Seal.  A sunflower (also from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set) is stamped in Bumblebee ink in the upper left corner. I haven’t decided who I will be giving the card to, so I will chose the interior sentiment later.
