Hi Stampers. Today, I have yet another Artistically Inked card. (I just love this Expressions in Ink Suite!) I’ve been using it a lot lately. You can see some prior cards I’ve done HERE, HERE and HERE.
I hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. We barbecued with some local family on Sunday for my husbands Aunts 70th birthday. Today we are staying home and barbecuing again. I wish it was with our son – it’s his 30th birthday today – but alas he’s out of state and we just got to talk with him by phone. Thank you, Covid!
My Artistically Inked card started with a Balmy Blue card base – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4. Using the Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party ink. Next, I stamped the flowers, from the Artistically Inked stamp set onto Basic White CS in Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink ink.
Stampin’ Tip: To get the two different colors for the pink flowers, the large flower is stamped full strength (ink pad to cardstock), the smaller flower is second generation (ink pad to cardstock and to cardstock again without re-inking).
Using the Artistic Dies, I die cut the stamped flowers and the leaves from the Expressions in Ink DSP. The flowers and leaves were then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Seal. Polished Pink ink was used to stamp the word “thanks”, from the Artistically Inked stamp set, onto Basic White CS. This sentiment was then die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies. The sentiment was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels added to the center of the large flower and to the label add a little sparkle.
Inside the Artistically Inked Thanks card is a layer of Basic White CS. Before adhering this layer to the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves (from the Artistically Inked stamp set) in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive ink across the bottom. What do you think of this gorgeous new Expressions in Ink Suite, is it on your wish list?
