Hi, Stampers. Can you believe we are in March already!?!? We are hanging onto February by sharing the projects we made with the February – Safari Celebration – Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Join me (and the other demos) as we explore ways to use this kit for alternative ideas.

The photo above shows you what came in the kit.

This is the card I made with the pieces from the Safari Celebration kit.  I started with a standard Evening Evergreen card base – 8-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″. My next layer is from the card bases in the kit.  I cut up the card base and used it like DSP, as a decorative layer for my card.  A few of the leaves were added to the top of this layer as a canopy of sorts, shading the monkey with the hula-hoop.  He actually moves!  I have attached a wobble to his body. You can view THIS PRIOR POST for another idea for wobbles.

Inside the card is a very similar look.  I have a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Safari Celebration kit card base followed by a 3-3/4″ x 5″ layer of Basic White CS.

The monkey was added with a wobble.  You can find a link to wobbles (and other handy card making items I recommend) by clicking HERE.  Beow the monkey is one of the labels from the Safari Celebration kit with a sentiment (also from the kit) stamped in Soft Succulent ink.

To mimic the look on the outside, I added leaves to the top of the inside layer.  The sentiment is stamped in Soft Succulent ink. I’ve included a PDF of this months Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Case insert for you to print out below. There is also a link to Janey’s blog post and a list of all this months blog hop participants. Enjoy a wide array of alternative ideas for this months Paper Pumpkin kit!
