Hi, Stampers. One of my more popular cards has been my baby dresser card I did a few years ago. It is a side step card made using the Something For Baby bundle that retired. CLICK HERE to see that card (with video and template). When the All For Baby set came out (and it’s now retiring), I knew I had to try another version of a Baby Dresser. This card is different but it’s still cute.
I did this card in multiple colors. My first card is made using a Fresh Freesia card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next up is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS. To make the dresser, I used a 3″ x 3″ square of Soft Suede CS and made a notch at the bottom using the long side of the Everyday Label Punch.
The drawers were created by cutting 3/4″ x 2-3/4″ strips of Crumb Cake CS and sponging some Crumb Cake ink on the edges. Pastel Pearls were added for the drawer handles.
Inside the card is another 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS. The sentiment is stamped in the center, but die cuts were added to the upper left and lower right corners. The onsies were all stamped, using the All For Baby stamp set, onto Very Vanilla CS and then die cut using the Baby Clothes Dies. The tiny hanger is a die from the Baby Clothes Dies, too.
I created the valance for the top front of the card buy using a 2″ x 4″ strip of Fresh Freesia CS and a 2″ x 4″ strip of Very Vanilla CS. The edges were die cut using the Basic Borders Dies, they were glued together with liquid glue (offset a little) and adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS and then cut down to fit, a piece of colored CS was added behind and also trimmed with down, just a little larger, to give us the border. The clothes and teddy bear are stamped using the All For Baby stamp set and die cut using the Baby Clothes Dies.
What do you think? Do you prefer this baby dress or my previous style?
