Hi, Stamper. Today’s double corner fold card is a fun one! I’m using the This Little Piggy stamp set and the coordinating dies in the making of the Birthday card. These dies are part of the Perfect Partners Promo. Stampin’ Up! has released six sets of dies that will only be available during the month of September. These dies coordinate with current stamp sets, such as the This Birthday Piggy stamp set that I used to make this double corner fold card. Last year, I did several cards that were a single corner fold, such as this one – CLICK HERE.
This double corner fold card starts with a standard Old Olive card base and then I folded over two of the corners. For the background, I used the Happy Forest Friends DSP.
For the focal point of my doube corner fold card, I stamped the pig in Memento Black ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends. Using the Playful Piggy Dies, I die cut the pig and the wagon. (note: the wheels and handle have a second die that goes over the base, to make them a different color). I cut off the cake and used that inside the card. The pig was attached with Stampin’ Seal and the wagon was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside my double corner fold card I decorated with more of the Happy Forest Friends DSP on the top and corners, then a layer of Basic White. The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Sorbet, while the pig was again stamped in Memento Black and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Blending a little Crumb Cake ink (using the Blending Brushes) under the pig helps it look grounded (and not floating in mid air).
