Hi, Stamper. Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Male Room”, so I’m sharing another toolbox card with you. This card has an internal pop up toolbox card. The Pals hope to inspire you with their masculine card ideas and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along!

This masculine handmade card, featuring the Trusty Tools bundle from Stampin’ Up!, may look simple on the outside—but it hides a fun pop-up toolbox surprise inside! I began with a Cherry Cobbler card base, layering it with Smoky Slate cardstock that I stamped in Smoky Slate ink to, using the Trusty Tools stamp set to create a subtle tone-on-tone background. For the front focal point, I added another piece of Cherry Cobbler, this time trimming off the upper left and lower right corners to give it a unique, eye-catching twist. I then adhered several die-cut tools from the Trusty Tools Dies, using Blueberry Bushel and Silver Foil cardstock—backed with Adhesive Sheets to make placement easy. To finish the card front, I stamped “DAD” in Blueberry Bushel ink on Basic White cardstock, then fussy cut it with Paper Snips for a bold, custom touch—perfect for a Father’s Day card or any occasion celebrating dad.

For the inside of this handmade internal pop up toolbox card, I started with a layer of Basic White cardstock and stamped it in Smoky Slate ink using the Trusty Tools stamp set from Stampin’ Up! To create the interactive pop-up element, I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock to form the base of the toolbox. A narrow strip of Silver Foil cardstock adds a realistic drawer accent, giving it the look of an actual toolbox. I then used the coordinating Trusty Tools Dies to cut out tools from Blueberry Bushel and Silver Foil cardstock, arranging them inside the box with mini glue dots for a dimensional effect. This DIY masculine card is perfect for Father’s Day or a birthday. Want to see exactly how this internal pop up toolbox card comes together? What a fun card and I love the inside!
Lisa Ann, This is perfect for a guy! Love the pop up tool box!
What a fun card Lisa Ann! Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Surprise Inside, for sure. On the outside, a mild-mannered A2 card, transformed into a tool box inside. Was there a phone booth involved?
Thank you Lisa!
Well, isn’t that the most clever card! My brother would love it! 😀
Great guy card, Lisa! I really do need inspiration on this bundle and you have done a wonderful card that is very inspiring to me. My son just bought his first house so wouldn’t this be a fun card? Love it! Thank you for joining the blog hop this month!
