Hi, Stampers. I just had a fantastic weekend! Last weekend, I hosted my very first 3-night retreat. We rented a large log cabin in Rockland, Idaho and we spent all weekend paper crafting. This weekend was so fun that we are already planning to do it again next year!

We arranged our tables in a U shape, so we could all chat while we worked.

Someone found these cute rainboots downstairs and decided they perfectly fit the Flowering Rain Boots theme of our retreat!

Everyone who attended the Royal Retreat got their very own Flowering Rain Boots bundle to use for their make-n-takes and then take home. Here is one of our make-n-takes from day one. It’s a simple faux easel technique.

Another card we did on day one of our Royal Retreat was an arrow fold card.

We also made this card on day one of the Royal Retreat.  For the boots we stamped on DSP and then die cut them out. (We used mostly recently retired or retiring soon DSP, since most of the planning and preparation was done before the new catalog).

Blending brushes were used on the edges of the Basic White layer (that was die cut using the scalloped contour dies). Isn’t that little hand tool adorable. It was made using Basic Gray CS and a die from the Rain Boots Dies, then the handle was colored black with the Stampin’ Write Marker.
